Don’t Get Egg on Thy Face…Marketh Thy Calendar!

We will have LIVE student performances with an
IN-PERSON audience on the evening of Friday, February 26, 2021!!
We are excited to have found a solution that will allow the students to perform live and will still allow us to hold the fundraising portion of our Gala. The reimagined format of Gala while we navigate the Covid pandemic will include a Virtual Gala on our original date of Friday, February 19. Our exciting virtual Gala will include fun prizes and incentives and real-time interaction with attendees, as well as a preview of some of the student performances, special appearances from our directors, and food catered by BB Italia. The following weekend, Friday, February 26, the Gala Student Showcase will happen in its entirety, featuring the class performances, senior performances, Nunsense and Something Rotten performances, and more! The Gala Student Showcase will be held at Bayou City Fellowship on Brittmoore, a space that can host our students and a live audience safely. Tickets to the Gala will include tickets to the Live Gala Student Showcase. More to come on ticket structure and underwriting opportunities!

If you haven’t signed up to volunteer or donate, we still have much need and look forward to hearing from you! [email protected]

Thank you, from your Gala Co-Chairs,

Betsy Humphrey, Traci Meadows, Michelle Rigo, and Christine Scott

Social Media Posts

Stratford Playhouse – Public Facebook Page

This is a public site and should be used for general posts only (i.e. selling tickets, merchandise, announcing events, requesting support, alumni info, etc.) We will not approve solicitations or posts for anything not pertaining to the Playhouse.  Please also keep in mind that student names and contact information should not be included in posts.  This is a security measure to protect our kids.  There are about 900+ amazing supporters who have access to this page and anyone can view the page at any time.  So, out of an abundance of caution, we will only approve general posts.  We want to stress that no irregular activity has happened, we just wanted to reiterate the Stratford Playhouse Facebook rules.
Stratford Playhouse Booster Club – Private Facebook Page
This is a private site and is full of valuable Playhouse information.  All current Booster Club members (parents and students) have access to this page.  In addition to the general posts as described above this is the FB page to post student-related and Playhouse information.  Playhouse volunteer committee members and Thespians Officers should also post information as it pertains to Playhouse and student’s events/news.  All Booster Club members can request approval to post but please keep in mind the post requested must be Playhouse related.

Both Facebook pages are monitored by Booster Club Executive Board members and Directors.  We are incredibly careful to protect our Playhouse Community and will decline/delete any questionable requests or posts.  Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Playhouse Weekly Newsletter – September 11, 2020

Hello Playhouse Family!
While this year is starting off a bit different, our goal remains the same~to support the Playhouse directors and students!
Huge thanks go out to Michelle Payne and Jeanine Piskurich for their time, energy, organization, and enthusiasm for our first dinner fundraiser at Los Tios!  As with everything in 2020, our patience and positivity are being tested so thank you to everyone for staying positive and being patient!  Los Tios was not prepared for what was about to hit them so while some things were out of our control, it was a HUGE success!!!
Have you joined?!?  If not, what are you waiting for!??  And if you happen to know of an SHS Family who is interested in the Playhouse, please encourage them to join our Booster Club!
Thank you to those for joining our first Zoom Booster Mtg!  We are focused and committed to continuing all traditions and events in supporting the Directors and Students! Our goal has not changed, but while the delivery could look different we will do everything possible to make sure these kids have a great year!
Thank you again for your continued support!!!

 2020-2021 Playbill Business Ad

Our productions are made possible with the support of our Playbill Ad Patrons. As with all non-profit organizations, our ticket sales cover only a portion of the production costs. To afford other costs such as printing playbills and show posters, securing rights, paying royalties, building sets, lighting, and sound/costume design, we must depend upon community patrons and contributors. In addition to helping support our efforts in bringing theatre productions to the community, your business will receive incredible exposure by advertising in our Playbill. Just this past season, we sold over 6,000 tickets despite producing only two of our three planned shows. In our upcoming 2020-21 season, your ad will be featured in all our Playbills for Nunsense, and Something Rotten.  Please note that this will be a year of transition for us as we tear down our existing auditorium to make room for a new, bigger, beautiful venue! Our shows will be held at Queensbury Theatre and Zilkha Hall at the Hobby Center. We hope you will continue as a valued Patron of our Theatre program.
